 Outdoor Learning - January 2026

What a way to end the first month of the year with our Outdoor Learning. The rain held off and we all had lots of fun making popcorn (and eating it) by the fire we made using our skills  and also making bird feeders. Thank you to all the families that joined us.  Looking forward to our next community event.

The children (and staff!) all enjoyed dancing to the festive music and playing a range of party games - great fun was had by all!

Year 4 Wilderness Foundation Visit - October 2025

This years residential trip to The Wilderness Foundation was another success, with the children immersing themselves in the outdoors and exploring activities like bug hunting and pond dipping. We were thrilled to find the namesakes of our homegroups in the pond- it was great to get up close and personal! After lots of fresh air, we  returned to school, where there were more activities before dinner, a camp fire, and finally a well deserved sleep!

Year 2 Visit to the Tower of London - October 2025

Year 2 completed their much anticipated visit to the Tower of London.  The train ride to London was the first highlight of the day with everyone eagerly looking out of the windows to see what they could spot.  When we got to the Tower of London the children completed a scavenger hunt to see how many exciting things they could see.   After lunch we were met by a strangely dressed gentleman who claimed to be a good friend of Samuel Pepys!  He gave Year 2 a fascinating, interactive talk about the Great Fire of London including re-enactments of parts of the story by the children.  Who knew that over 13,000 houses were destroyed but less than ten people lost their lives?  After this we went to visit the ravens, the children were amazed by their size!

 Cross Country - September 2025

A huge well done to all the children who took part in the cross-country event this week! Everyone showed brilliant effort, determination and, most importantly, lots of smiles along the way. Year 3 & 4 ran 1250 metres – that’s over a kilometre! They kept going, even when it got tough, and cheered each other on right to the finish. Year 5 & 6 took on the longer run of 1600 metres and showed amazing stamina and resilience.

One pupil said: “It was really hard, but I didn’t give up – and I felt so proud when I crossed the finish line!”
