Pupil Leadership Team
At Barons Court our Year 6 pupils are selected by pupils and staff to represent their voice on the Pupil Leadership Team. This team consists of Head Pupils who meet with the Head Teacher once a week.
The Pupil Leadership Team 2025-2026
Children have all worked hard on a challenging interview process. They have written excellent job applications and have undergone interviews by the Head Teacher and the previous Pupil Leadership Team.
Our Pupil Leadership Team is: Arthur, Maggie, Ryland, Edith and Patti.
The New Pupil Leadership Team Introductions
Arthur - "Hi, my name is Arthur and I am Head Boy this year. I am looking forward to helping out everyone and sharing smiles and having fun with our projects. My school project this year is called, 'School's Around the World' and we will be learning about schools in different countries. I am excited to be using my leadership skills this year and helping our school community."
Maggie - "Hi, I'm Maggie and I am this years Deputy Head Girl. I am looking forward to spending time with the children in our school and teaching them things that are slightly out of the ordinary. My school project is to have a 'Fashion Day' for all of the children to enjoy. This will mean encouraging us all to work as a team and to wear our creations as part of a non-school uniform day - this is going to be fun!"
Edie - "Hi, I'm Edie and I am one of the Deputy Head Girls of 2025! I am really excited to help every member of the BC community and my school project is 'Creativity Week'. This will be an opportunity for everyone to have fun and express themselves through creativity and I really hope that my role this year will let me show why it is so important to be yourself."
Ryland - "Hi there, I am Ryland, your Deputy Head Boy of 2025. I can't wait to help every single child at our school. My school project is a 'Open Mic Day' where pupils, parents and teachers can express their unique love of music. This is going to have a fun, festival feel and we hope the sun shines on the day in the summer when we have this planned."
Patti - "Hi, I'm Patti and I am the new Head Girl. I am so excited to be taking on this incredible role and work with other members of the PLT as well as all of the children across the school. For my school project I will be organising an Art Week which will involve different techniques, such as sculpting, acrylic painting and collaging - just to name a few! We will then be showcasing this within our local community. I am looking forward to making my last year at Barons Court a great one for both myself and for you all!"
Autumn Term 2025 - An Update from our PLT
"This term we have all been really busy! We have organised our Creative Arts week which we held in December. We planned lessons which encouraged children to learn a wide range of creative skills, such as singing, comic design, creative writing, art and the performing arts. We supported the teachers in the delivery of lessons across the week and all pupils shared their learning in a special assembly at the end of the week - we had a wonderful creative week! We are now preparing for our Fashion Day which will be taking place in January - this will be an opportunity to learn about fashion across the decades - we can't wait to share our work with you all!"
Spring Term 2026 - An Update from our PLT
"This term we have completed Maggie's Fashion Day, which included all of the children being involved in learning the important skills of sewing while they were still having fun and being involved in the choices of design. We have also completed Arthur's 'Schools Around the World Day'. We set up different lessons for the set country of each phase and we made bunting of countries from around the world, setting the scene a bit more. Next term, we have two exciting PLT ideas, including Ryland's Music Day, where there will be an open mic evening running after school and also Patti's Art Week where our enquiry questions will be focused on different aspects of art techniques during our afternoons. Another exciting term was had by all!"
