School Council

School Council

The Barons Court School Council has opened its doors once again and the children within our school community are representing the voice of all the children.

Our School Council representatives are:

  • Reliable, kind and respectful.
  • Proud of our school and want it to be the best it can be!
  • Listen carefully to the views of others and take their ideas on board.
  • Commit time to this role and are enthusiastic by actioning the ideas within their own time (if needed).

We look forward to sharing our projects and ideas with you over the coming year.

This year Barons Court Primary School will be taking part in the ‘International Schools Project’ which will boost the children’s knowledge of cultures and languages from countries across the globe. We will be connecting with schools in places all around the world - some countries include: Spain, France and Greece. Furthermore, we have representatives from all ages across the school ranging from Year 1 to Year 6 assisting in our learning and our areas of focus for the School Council. We can’t wait to take this challenge on! Look out for further updates throughout the year!

Autumn Term 2025 - An Update from our School Council

Our School Council is a passionate and energetic group of pupils aged 7–11 who proudly represent the voices of our school community. Meeting regularly, council members show real dedication, enthusiasm and maturity as they work together on projects that matter to them and their peers.

This term, the council has been especially excited to lead work towards an upcoming International Day. With curiosity and confidence, members have been interviewing classes across the school to discover the many countries, cultures and languages that make our community so special. They have approached this task with care, respect and a genuine interest in celebrating everyone’s stories.

Through teamwork, thoughtful discussion and a strong sense of responsibility, our School Council continues to demonstrate how pupil voice can inspire connection, understanding and pride across the whole school. We’re incredibly proud of their commitment and can’t wait to see their ideas come to life.
